Troubleshooting & FAQ
Quick fixes for the issues owners run into most.
My booking page shows no services
Customers see only active services. In Dashboard → Services, make sure the service's toggle is Active. Also check the service's offering dates: if it's set to become available only in a future window, it won't appear until then. The public page initially loads 21 days at a time and continues loading as customers browse forward; services without an explicit end date remain bookable indefinitely.
My booking page is a 404
A page 404s when the workspace isn't live or the address doesn't match. If you recently changed your booking subdomain, the old link redirects for 30 days and then stops. Share your current link — you'll find it in the booking readiness widget on your dashboard home.
Customers see no available times
Availability is a combination of several settings. Check, in order:
- Operating hours — if no business hours are set, there's nothing to offer. Set them at Settings → Booking rules → Operating hours.
- Buffers — service and space buffer times shrink bookable windows. Long buffers make the calendar look empty; see Booking rules.
- Staff schedules — services that require staff only offer times when an eligible staff member is actually scheduled.
- Fully booked — a space can be capped per day; the customer sees "That day is fully booked for this space."
- Advance notice — if the service requires hours of notice, only times beyond that window are offered.
- Duration vs. remaining hours — a booking that can't fit inside the day's remaining hours won't be offered.
Checkout says Stripe isn't connected
That message appears when card payments are off and no direct payment methods are enabled. Either connect Stripe at Settings → Stripe (and enable Show card payments on your booking page), or turn on Show direct payment methods on the booking page. Bookings require at least one route.
A customer's booking link has expired
Portal links are valid for 7 days after the booking start. Open the booking and send the link again — it's the same URL, re-sent fresh.
A booking says it needs staff
The service is set to assign staff after booking. Open the booking, assign a staff member, and check the Slot held until deadline in the drawer — assign before it passes so the booking keeps its place. The Deferred booking needs staff alert on your dashboard tracks these.
An overstay charge failed
Overstay charges run on the customer's saved card and can fail if the card was removed or declined. The booking shows the failed charge. Reach out to the customer for a new card or collect another way — see Managing bookings.
Customers aren't getting emails or texts
Messages send only when the matching notification channel is on. Check Dashboard → Notifications for the event's Email / SMS toggles, and make sure SMS is enabled for your workspace. Template edits at Settings → Email templates / SMS templates also need the channel toggle on to be delivered.
A document wasn't sent or attached
Documents only go out from Dashboard → Documents → Records with Save and send, which needs a client email on file — a draft with no email stays a draft. Only published versions of active templates are used on bookings, and a template must match the booking's services, locations, staff, and resources to apply. The Forms & Documents feature also only covers new bookings made after you enable it — existing bookings are untouched.
If a customer says their link doesn't work: a voided document stops opening, and a needs resign record waits for a fresh link. Use Resend signing link from the record to send a new one.
