Staff
Add the people who perform or support your bookings at Settings → Staff. Each staff member gets a profile, a role, optional pricing adjustments, and a place on your public booking page.
Adding a staff member
Choose New staff and fill in:
- Photo — JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC.
- Name — required.
- Email — required for new members; they'll use it to sign in.
- Phone — optional.
- Bio — up to 80 characters, shown on the public booking page.
- Public title — for example "Coach" or "Assistant", shown beneath their name. Leave blank to hide it.
- Shown on public booking page / Hidden from public booking page — whether customers can see and pick this person.
- Price adjustment — None, Flat amount ($), or Percentage (%) — added to bookings this staff member performs.
- Buffer time (minutes) — recovery time between their sessions.
- Assigned space — the space they primarily work from.
Roles
Each staff member has a role that controls what they can do in the dashboard:
- Business Owner — full access, including payments, reports, settings, and billing.
- Manager — operations and settings, but no billing management.
- Staff — calendar, bookings, clients, and messages.
- Photographer — staff-level access without locations, payments, reports, or settings.
Manage members from the staff table — Edit, Suspend, or Reactivate. Suspending someone with staff-required services warns you first, since those services could end up without eligible staff.
Staffing modes per service
Each service chooses how staff are involved, in the service editor's Staff section:
- No staff required — self-service; the calendar never checks staff.
- Staff optional — customers may book without staff; bookings with staff assigned track that person.
- Staff required — a booking needs staff. Enforcement follows the mode: required staff means the calendar only offers times an eligible staff member can actually cover.
For the customer-facing side, choose Customer staff selection:
- Do not show staff — customers never see team members.
- Customer may request — customers can name a preferred person.
- Customer must choose — customers pick their staff member before the booking completes (available when staff are required).
If a service uses Assign later timing (see Booking rules), customers book without picking anyone, and the booking lands in a Staffing needed state. Assign a staff member from the booking drawer before the claim deadline — the dashboard raises a persistent Deferred booking needs staff alert until you do.
Staff schedules
Slotted checks staff calendars when deciding availability — staff with synced Google Calendars block out their busy times (see Calendar). Eligible staff are also filtered by the schedule they can work; make sure each bookable staff member's availability matches when customers should be able to book them.
