Spaces within a location

Spaces are the bookable units inside a location — rooms, booths, chairs, courts, machines, and so on. You set them up in step 2 of the location editor, and they also appear on the location card and the location's Spaces tab.

Add a space

In the Spaces step, each space row shows its name, the services available in it, its equipment, and its price. Choose New space (or edit an existing one) for the space drawer:

  • Photo — how the space appears on your booking page.
  • Name — for example "Studio A".
  • Hourly rate — the price for a new space. This creates an Hourly Rental service for the space automatically; you can change its price later in Services.
  • Services — tick the active services customers can book in this space. The space's price summary shows "Not bookable yet" until a service with a rate is selected.
  • Equipment — free-text tags for what the space includes.
  • Availability — a toggle with Active ("Shown for new bookings") and Inactive ("Hidden from new bookings").
Two places to manage spaces

The location editor covers a space's rate, services, and visibility. For capacity, buffer minutes, amenities, and other booking details, open the space at Settings → Spaces — see Spaces & equipment.

Removing spaces and deleting locations

Removing a space from a location archives it rather than deleting — past bookings and history are preserved, and the space just stops appearing for new bookings. Deleting a whole location is permanent and asks for confirmation.

Plan limits

Spaces require the Operator plan. If your plan doesn't include resource management, Slotted prompts you to upgrade to Operator to add spaces and manage room availability.

How space availability works

Available times come from your business's operating hours — see Operating hours. The space's active state on top of that controls whether it appears for new bookings at all. Slotted never double-books a space — once a slot is taken, other customers can't reserve it.
