How to book

Slotted powers online booking for studios and service businesses. When you visit a business's booking page, here's how the process works — and what to do if you need to change something later.

1. Choose what you're booking

If the business has more than one location, you'll first pick a location and a space under "Choose a location" — before booking you see the general area rather than the exact address, which comes with your confirmation. Then choose the service, and if the business offers them, extras like add-ons, a specific team member, and your group size.

The booking summary on the side updates live as you go, so the total always reflects what you've selected.

2. Pick your date and time

  • Time slots — if the business offers fixed durations, you'll see cards like "1 hour" or "2 hours" with prices. Pick a date to see the available times.
  • Flexible time — if the business lets you choose, you'll pick a start and end time on their calendar.

Some bookings require advance notice — the page tells you to choose a later time if you're inside that window.

3. Enter your details

Add your name, email, and phone number. If the business texts about bookings, you'll see a consent box for transactional texts (confirmations, reminders, and booking replies) — it's optional and you can reply STOP anytime. The business may also ask a few intake questions and require a document — a waiver, contract, or consent — before you can finish. Depending on the business's setup you'll sign with your full legal name or simply acknowledge it, either at checkout or later from a link.

4. Pay

Depending on how the business is set up:

  • Card — you'll pay the deposit or full amount by card. The page shows a full breakdown, including any processing fee, before you pay.
  • Direct payment — the business accepts methods like cash, Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal. Your booking is confirmed and their payment instructions appear right after.

5. Get your confirmation

You'll see a confirmation number on screen, and receive a confirmation by email (and text, if the business has SMS enabled). Keep the confirmation number handy for questions.

Need to change or cancel?

Your confirmation email includes a link to your booking page — or ask the business to send it again. That page shows your booking summary and a secure message thread with the business. Send them a note there and the team will take care of the change.

Booking links expire

For your privacy, booking links stop working 7 days after your booking start. If yours no longer opens, contact the business and they'll send a fresh link.
